Kaduna Legislator pledges equitable representation of Constituent
Hon. Ali Kalat, Member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly elected under the platform of the PDP representing Jema'a Constituency has sworn to equitably discharge his statutory function that would secure the well-being of members of his Constituency.
It would be recalled that the Kaduna State House of Assembly on Thursday witnessed inauguration of its members who will pilot legislative duties for the next four years.
Hon. Kalat who spoke to our correspondent on Friday in an interview in Kaduna commended the overwhelming support he received from Jema'a Constituency especially during the election that ushered his victory and assured the people of fair representation void of ethnic or religious affiliation.
"Besides the primary function of a Legislator which is law-making, I have taken oath to be equitable before all and God-willing, I shall stand by my words.
"I want to assure the people Jema'a that we shall be opened to consultations and suggestions that would bring about meaningful development," he said.
The Legislator, however urged members of his Constituency to desist from deconstructive criticism and instead, unite and consolidate on the successes being achieved.
He, however, applauded his predecessor, Hon. Labari Tella whom he described as a true Democrat and expressed best wishes ahead of his future endeavors.
Hon. Kalat, then, enjoined the Traditional and Religious bodies including Civil Society Organizations and the Security agencies in his Constituent to give him every support required to move Jema'a o it's desired height.
