Sharif Abdullahi Qassim Emerged Chairman Kaduna State Football Association

Sharriff kassim has emerged winner of the elections to retain his position as chairman Kaduna State Football Association for a fresh term in office.

Chairman of the electoral Committee who announce the result said, Sharrif floor Sani Abdullahi by 16 votes to 11votes at the polls held at the Unity Wonderland Hotel, Kafanchan thw headquarters of Jema'a LG Area of Kaduba State on Saturday June 1, 2019.

For the Vice Chairman the contest was keenly contested between Magaji Alhassan who garnered 14 votes and Abdullahi Balarabe who scored 13 votes, with the former declared winner and elected.

For membership of the board, Ahmed Balarebe  and Garba Sabon Gari emerged from zone 1, Yusuf Abubakar (BEST) and Pastor Kwasau from Zone 11, while Shekeri Yakubu and Uyit Irimiya Rashidi won as board members from zone 111.

The reelected Chairman, in his acceptance speech commended all the delegates to the elective Congress for their supports and promised to operate an open door policy and take the Kaduna FA to the next level.

He called for the support of all and sundry particularly those in the sports sector to join hands with him to take football to the highest level in the state.

Earlier in his remarks, the representative of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Mr. Emmanuel Adesanya urged all the delegates to the elective Congress to exhibit maturity before during and after the election.

Others who observed the election were Alhaji Comrade Ahmed Yusuf (Fresh), the Chairman of the Nationwide league Alhaji Mohammed Alkali, Chairman of the Plateau FA, Mr Sunday Longbab and former Commissioner Youths, Sports and culture Hon. Daniel Danauta.

The election was presided over by the Chairman of the electoral committee Barrister Habib Dembo with support from other committee members while the oath of office was administered on the elected committee members by His lorship, Mohammed Jibrin of Kaduna Magistrate Court.

Observers and sports enthusiasts described the election as free, fair, credible and transparent.
