Zangon Kataf LG APC passes vote of confidence on Kaduna state Chairman of the party
Sequel to the high sense of responsibility demonstrated in steering affairs of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Kaduna state by the Chairman, Air Commodore Emmanuel Kabirat Jakada, the Zangon Kataf Local Government chapter of the party has passed a vote of confidence on him.
The event took place at a meeting of stakeholders of the APC at Zonkwa on Saturday, convened to review developments that led to the poor performance of the APC in the 2019 election despite its reasonable presence in the Local Government Area.
Reacting to the development, the Permanent Commissioner at the State Assembly from the area, Mr Christopher Andrew Sarki said the track record of transparency of the Chairman and his unquantifiable valuable contributions to the development of the party deserve recognition and accolades.
Mr Sarki said the actions of the party Chairman, some of which must have been misconstrued, especially in financial prudence, have helped in no small way, to sanitize the party.
He commended Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufa'i of the state for supporting the choice of the APC Chairman and also the support so far rendered to him in the face of many intrigues meant to pull him down.
Speaking earlier, Air Commodore Emmanuel Jakada said the meeting which was one in a series of those ongoing in the zone, assured that the APC is a party to beat, going by its policies and programmes, which have especially, the down trodden at heart.
Jakada who lamented the poor performance of the APC in the last election in the area said he does not believe the people hate the party but that most stakeholders had not been sincere to the party as they claim, particularly as demonstrated in the disbursement of funds as alluded by members.
The party Chairman then appealed to the people of the area to give Governor El-Rufa'i maximum support by living in peace and advancing meaningful suggestions on the way forward rather than pouring out curses on leaders at the slightest provocation
