COAS Unveils Multi-million Naira Projects in Depot NA, NMS

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen.Yusuf Tukur Buratai had over the weekend commissioned various projects worth millions of Naira at the Depot,Nigerian Army and Nigeria Military School (NMS), Zaria.

Commissioning the projects at the two military formations in Zaria, Kaduna State, the Army chief enjoined them to make judicious use of the facilities.

Burutai who declined to speak with members of the press, appreciated the quality and standard of work executed in the two barracks.

APC Party Stalwart in Jema'a tasks Members on Unity

Mr Wilson Iliya Yangye, APC candidate who contested for the seat to represent Jema'a Constituency at the Kaduna State House of Assembly during the general election and lost has tasked party faithfuls to unite to form a common front.

Mr Yangye spoke on Saturday in Kafanchan when he paid a thank you visit to APC leadership in Jema'a local government area of Kaduna State.

He said the visit was to express his appreciation to party supporters who stood by the party during the election and urged them to sustain the spirit.

APPEALS Engages Ginger Farmers on Post Harvest Loss Prevention Exercise

Determined to prevent post harvest losses for ginger farmers in the country, the Agro-Processing, Productivity Enhancement And Livelihood Improvement Support Project, (APPEALS) has organized a three day Technology demonstration exercise for ginger farmers cooperative societies.

The exercise which took place in Jema'a, Jaba and Kagarko LGAs, also featured a demonstration of Ginger Washing and Slicing machines and Dryers.

RIFAN laments low percentage of farmers accessing loans for rice production

The Chairman, Kaduna State chapter of Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria, RIFAN, Alhaji Mohammed Umar Numbu has urged farmers in the Southern part of the state to avail themselves of the loan facility offered by the Central Bank of Nigeria through the Association and boost rice production in the area.

Alhaji Mohammed Numbu who threw the challenge in a chat with Newsmen in Kafanchan lamented the low patronage of the loan facility in respect of rice production by people of the area.

Youth Group visits Electricity Distribution Company in Kagoro to express grievances, demand improved service

Youths under the aegis of Kaura Youth Coalition in Kaura local government area of Kaduna State on Thursday paid an advocacy visit to Kagoro Station of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company to express concerns on the need for improved service delivery.

House committee on Aviation of the National Assembly has vowed to expedite action to ensure quick passage of the amendment bill sent by the Executive to upgrade activities of Nigerian Civil Aviation Technology, Zaria.

The Chairman of the House committee, Mr.Nnolim Nnaji disclosed this to newsmen shortly after inspecting facilities of the college during an oversight visit in Zaria, Kaduna state.
