KDSG retains 14 ministries, with three new ones

The Kaduna State Government has announced the governance structure for the second-term of Malam Nasir El-Rufai. The governor has signed an Executive Order creating three new ministries, abolishing three others and amending the mandates of three others. The restructuring does not increase the number of ministries beyond the 14 that existed in the first-term.

Malam Nasir El-Rufai has approved the appointment of eight Special Advisers. Some of the Special Advisers are reappointed to the roles they played in the first-term of the governor, including Aisha Dikko (Legal), Muyiwa Adekeye (Media & Communication) and Martins Akumazi (Project Implementation). Sagir Balarabe Musa joins the team as Special Adviser (Human Capital Development).

Shagali reelected Kaduna speaker

Kaduna State House of Assembly (KSHA) has re-elected Aminu Abdullahi Shagali as its Speaker for the 6th assembly beginning Thursday.
39 years old Aminu Shagali was first elected into the state assembly in 2011, to represent Sabon Gari constituency.

He became the speaker of the assembly in 2015 following the emergence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the ruling political party in the state.
