Malam Haladu Haruna was sworn in as the Private Political Adviser (PPA) at the local government Secretariat solemnly affirming to be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

LG Autonomy, best gift of democracy - Local Government Boss

Mr Bege Katuka, Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State has applauded the present administration for passing into law the Local Government Autonomy.

Mr Bege Katuka, who spoke on Friday during the ceremony of his One Year of Stewardship at Kaura, described the development as one of the greatest gifts of democracy.

He said that the autonomy had created an all-inclusive sense of governance, stressing that government was now masses-oriented rather a business in the hands of a few.

Shagali reelected Kaduna speaker

Kaduna State House of Assembly (KSHA) has re-elected Aminu Abdullahi Shagali as its Speaker for the 6th assembly beginning Thursday.
39 years old Aminu Shagali was first elected into the state assembly in 2011, to represent Sabon Gari constituency.

He became the speaker of the assembly in 2015 following the emergence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the ruling political party in the state.

A senator representing Yobe North Constituency, Ahmed Lawan, has been elected President of the 9th Senate.

Although counting is ongoing, Mr Lawan has garnered the required number of votes to emerge winner.
