Minimum wage: Jema'a LG Council, Unions dispel speculation of non-compliance

The Authority Jema'a local government area of Kaduna State has dispelled the speculations from certain quarters over alleged refusal to comply with State Government's directive to implement the new minimum wage.

Recall that the Kaduna State Government under the leadership of Governor Nasir El-rufai'i, was amongst the first states in the Federation to implement payment of the N30,000 new minimum wage to its workers.

Osinbajo, who spoke on a lighter note, said that one of the distinct attributes of the Nigerian person was the `Nigerian Swag.’

World Economic Forum Endorses Buhari’s Social Investment Programmes

The Schwab Foundation, a sister organisation of the World Economic Forum (WEF), has endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari’s National Social Investment Programmes(N-SIPs).

Justice Bibiye, Communications Manager, National Social Investment Office (NSIO), in a statement on Monday, in Abuja, said the foundation conferred the prestigious Public Social Intrapreneur award on Mrs Maryam Uwais, Special Adviser to President on Social Investments.

Presidential election: I believe I’ll get justice —Atiku

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the February 2019 general election, Atiku Abubakar, has expressed belief that he will get justice in his suit against President Muhammadu Buhari and the ruling All Progressives Congress.

He urged his supporters not to underestimate the effect of their belief that justice will be done.

Atiku had sued Buhari, INEC and APC in the aftermath of Buhari’s declaration as the winner of the presidential election, seeking to upturn the victory and the declaration that he (Atiku) was the winner.

Acting Head of Service Yemi-Esan takes over from Oyo-Ita

The Acting Head of Civil Service of the Federation (HCSF), Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan, has assumed office on Thursday.

In a statement issued by Olawunmi Ogunmosunle, the Director, Information office of HCSF, said Yemi-Esan assumed duty at about 6.40 p.m. after she was received by the members of staff of the office.

According to Ogunmosunle, Yemi–Esan in her remarks acknowledged the hard work and dedication to duty of her predecessor and promised to build on Mrs Winifred Oyo–Ita’s achievements.

The Court of appeal sitting in Abuja has dismissed the petition of the PDP in Taraba State seeking to stop the APC gubernatorial candidate Professor Mohammed Sani Yahaya from challenging the result of the 2019 governorship Election.

The court ruled that Professor Sani Yahaya being the rightful candidate of the APC can continue challenging the victory of the PDP in the 2019 governorship election at the election petition tribunal in Taraba State

Breaking: Court rules against Atiku, PDP on INEC server

The Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) on Wednesday declared that there was no evidence that INEC transmitted the results of the 2019 presidential election electronically to any server.

Delivering judgement on the matter, the chairman of the tribunal Justice Mohammed Garba said that the petitioners – PDP and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar failed to prove the existence of an INEC server or that the electoral commission transmitted results electronically.

(NLTP) by pastoral families and crop farmers in Gongoshi community, Adamawa State, is exciting and encouraging.

Osinbajo’s spokesman, Laolu Akande, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, said the Vice President expressed delight that the community had accepted NLTP as a way of promoting peaceful co-existence as well as enhancing their livelihoods.

Kaduna RIFAN Hails President Buhari for Restricting Forex on Food Items

Oyo Assembly passes reviewed Appropriation Bill 2019 of N182bn

The Oyo State House of Assembly on Tuesday passed the State Appropriation review Bill (2019 budget) of N182,389, 434, 405.52.

This followed the third reading of the Oyo State Appropriation Review and Finance Bill, 2019 , at the plenary, presided over by the Speaker, Mr Adebo Ogundoyin.

The reviewed budget of N98, 769, 034, 202.03 only, was for Recurrent Expenditure while N83, 620, 400, 203.49 only, are for the Capital Expenditure, meant for the services of Oyo state in the year ending Dec. 31, 2019.
